G Guitars philosophy is simple; to provide players of all levels and budgets access to instruments not often found in most music stores. We regularly hear from clients that they never see, let alone play, many of the brands we carry. Our "stock it and they will come" philosophy has been the cornerstone of our store since its inception in the fall of 2000. We are proud to announce that we have been recently named the "Best Place to Buy a Musical Instrument" in the 2007 Best of New Haven reader's poll in the New Haven Advocate.

Being musicians ourselves, we created an environment based on what has turned us off when we have shopped for instruments in the past. Pushy salespeople, unkempt, out of tune instruments, loud music and a cluttered showroom are all things that we pride ourselves in avoiding. Off the beaten path in New Haven Connecticut, we can be hard to find, but once you're here, we're confident you'll feel completely comfortable. With a private room for both Acoustic Guitars and Electric/Amplification, you'll have the opportunity to play the instrument in as much privacy as you need.

Many of our instruments are indeed works of art, and are displayed as such. They are of course, meant to be played. All are accessible and playing them is encouraged. Playing an instrument and comparing it to another back to back, is one of the best ways to find the perfect guitar for you.

Of course, we can't stock everything. However, we can custom order instruments. Many of our makers are more than happy to accommodate special requests. We try our best to provide you with the best prices possible, and we understand competition is fierce, so we offer a 1-month price protection. If you see an item you purchased from us advertised for less within 30 days, we'll refund the difference.
